You paint your house, freeze your food, and have your car serviced. The body is no different – if you want it to work, it needs to be maintained. A well maintained body will be full of positive energy, thoughts and productivity.
Here are 5 things you can do to ensure a high level of health:
Eat more raw foods. Processed foods are full of chemicals and artificial additives. They lead to long term cellular breakdown and disease.
Drink lots of water. Drink at least 8 glasses a day. This will increase the health of your skin, removes toxins, help flush fat and hydrate tissues. Your body is able to fight infections and viruses if it’s well hydrated.
Get 8 hours of sleep. Our minds can’t function to it’s fullest capacity if it’s exhausted. You will be able to deal with stress better and avoid things like depression.
Exercise. At least 30 minutes of activity that raises your heart-rate and challenges your muscles will help offset the effects of aging and assist in injury prevention.
Meditate. Our days can be very busy with lots of things to worry about and be responsible for. We’ve trained our minds to multitask and race a million miles a minute. Meditation takes back the control and helps to quiet the mind. When we separate ourselves from the ‘rat race’, we reduce our stress related health issues and are able to cope with and make better decisions.
